Hello!
I'm grateful for your presence here.

Anchor 1
My work sits at the intersection of
Social Justice, Equity and Community building.
By shifting from statistics to stories, my practice aims to amplify voices of underrepresented communities and build systems that enable respect and dignity for every individual irrespective of caste, creed, sex, faith or disability. I am committed to use my power and privilege to build resilient communities and create spaces for honest conversations and deep relationships.
A question that drives my work is -
How might we design experiences
where people come together across differences,
where people feel belonged to the larger community
and to themselves?
A value that drives my work is -
Non-violence
(Watch this video to know how practicing Non-violence in thought, speech and action taught me to shift from Human centered design to Life Centered design)
My practice in yoga since the past 15 years has shaped my understanding of building a healthy relationship with our bodies.
It has made me value creating a conscious balance between movement and rest and I bring this to my work.
I am learning to listen, learning to unlearn and learning to respond
- to myself and to others.

I find immense joy and satisfaction in the art of documenting people, in observing and finding patterns in why we do what we do- which has helped me in my work as a qualitative researcher.

I began my design career with a degree in Industrial Product design from MIT Institute of Design, India, which equipped me with the most essential and iterative tool of knowing by making - a principle I abide by all the time. In the last 6 years, I have had the opportunity to design products, systems, furniture, games and gatherings.
I am currently pursuing my masters in Design for Social Innovation at the School of Visual Arts, New York, where I am learning to shift from being a designer as an expert to being a designer as a facilitator.
My strengths lie in Research - in sense making, systems thinking and strategizing as well as in sketching, ideating and prototyping.
Moving forward, I hope to work on projects that address inequities, uncover unintended consequences and being intentional about the impact we create.
Here's a link to my portfolio and to my resume.
I'm hopeful and excited for conversations and collaborations!
